Changing of the Guards

As they say, the only thing that remains the same is change. CHANGE has come to MDR Photo Studio once again. And as with any change, the ripple effect sometimes feels exponential. For those of you who missed out on the farewell to Cajsa and Maht party this past May, it may come as a surprise to know that MDR’s founders have retired at present from the photography business. While Cajsa no longer works at MDR, she has continued with her blog. Maht is DJing at the Velvet club every Sunday in his dotage just to keep an eye on the goings on of this virtual world. In their graciousness, Cajsa and Maht have allowed fellow sr. photographer Arcadia Nightfire and I to take over the studio and its operations.

As if that wasn’t enough change, MDR has moved locations AGAIN! This move, however, only pushed us up in the air instead of to a completely new sim. Make sure you visit our new sky studio. Unfortunately, the move has cost us a considerable amount of prim space, and we have been forced to close the public studio at this time.

Not only has the in-world location changed for the studio, but co-owner Arcadia Nightfire and I have decided to move the blog as well. We’re not going far—just over to wordpress where many bloggers seem to be migrating these days. In light of all this, we thought it was high time for a party. The weather’s getting warmer, pools are open, and, believe it or not, Midsummer is just around the corner! We’ve dusted off our fairy wings and hope that you will join us to dance to electronica and new wave hits designed to shake fairy dust all over the studio. DJ will be rocking the house under the disco ball. So shimmy into your best fae interpretation and flaunt it at MDR Photo Studio June 21st at 6 p.m. SLT.
